FAQs

Below are some Frequently Asked Questions:

What is Jewish about Jewish Family Home Care?

Our caregivers receive ongoing in-house cultural sensitivity training from a Ph.D., making them more sensitive to the needs of the survivor population and touchstones of Jewish culture.

What kind of training do your employees receive?

Prospective employees must first meet our rigorous education and experience qualifications. Our caregivers receive ongoing in-house sensitivity training and must stay up to date on state requirements for 12 Continuing Education Units per year.

How do you verify your employees?

We perform a Level 2 FDLE Background Check and eVerify.

Are your services covered by insurance or Medicare?

Our services are not covered by straight Medicaid or Medicare. We do accept Long Term Care Insurance assignments and private pay. Please allow us to verify your long term care insurance for you.

Are your caregivers licensed and bonded?

All our caregivers are licensed, bonded and insured.

Isn’t it less expensive to hire a private duty aide?

Hiring a private duty aide for your loved one can be more costly in other ways. The Department of Labor now requires private employers meet the minimum wage standards, follow overtime rules, worker’s comp and pay employment and social security taxes. Hiring an agency takes the administrative requirements and liability off your hands.

How quickly can we start?

Within 48 hours of contacting us, an RN Supervisor will interview the client and evaluate needs and personality. We are of course sensitive to emergency situations.

How do I begin using your services?

Call our office at 954-908-5677. We are available 24/7.

What if our needs change?

There is never a one-size-fits-all situation. We offer flexible scheduling and short and long term assignments.

How do we communicate with you?

Clients and their family can call 24/7 and speak directly to a staffing coordinator for any client needs or emergencies.

What if we aren’t happy with the caregiver?

Just call us. We try our best to match caregivers with clients, but our overriding goal is for seniors to be happy and safe at home. If it isn’t working out, we’ll try to resolve the situation to your satisfaction.
