Job Summary:

The Professional Services Manager is responsible for managing the effective scheduling of caregivers and managing the staffing unit. S/he is also responsible for ensuring client service is provided to the highest standards, resolving any issues on a timely manner. S/he also supports all quality assurance, caregiver development training, and ensures effective process flow and compliance activities.

Some Essential Duties include:

  • Select, hire, train and manage staff under supervision
  • Monitor eligibility of clients referred to home care services and implement their plan of care
  • Manage staffing coordinators workflow on a day to day basis
  • Review Open Shifts daily and manage that all shifts are being staffed accordingly
  • Ensure all clinical and infection control procedures are being tracked and enforced
  • Review calls, audit random calls and provide feedback to ensure provision of quality service to clients
  • Monitors utilization reports to ensure all hours approved for each client are adequately scheduled
  • Responsible for handling any escalated client calls that staffing coordinators cannot address
  • In coordination with Human Resources handles any complaints involving caregivers and clients to ensure prompt resolution and adequate customer service
  • Ensures that established policies are enforced
  • Participate in annual and random chart reviews to ensure compliance with AHCA and other regulatory requirements

Essential Qualifications Include:

Education

Bachelor’s in Nursing is preferred. Licensed/Registered Nurse in compliance with the State of Florida regulations is required.

Experience

Minimum of three (3) years in a management role are required. Three (3) years of home care experience managing scheduling staff and caregivers are preferred. Two (2) years of experience in health care management are preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, deadline-oriented, organizational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, thoroughness are required. Computer knowledge must include advanced Excel and other Microsoft applications and accounting software experience.
