Our goal is to provide compassionate, reliable and trusting caregivers that keep seniors safe, comfortable and living with pride in their own homes for as long as possible. If in the future they need to live in a facility or require a hospital stay, we can be there for them as well.
Below, we will provide additional information on the following non-medical services we provide:

For people with Alzheimer’s, forced situations can cause increased confusion and discomfort. Our goal with this service is to make sure that we provide a stable, predictable care routine for your loved one. We want to make sure that our caregivers feel like a regular part of their lives.
Before making a care plan, one of our reliable caregivers will visit your loved one to determine how involved to be in their daily activities.
With dementia, it is sometimes hard to predict patterns of behavior. Your loved one may not always be able to recognize if they are having issues. This makes it difficult to know if they need help, as well.
Each care plan will look different because they are customized to handle the specific issues your loved one experiences. Services can include:
—Medication reminders —Oversight of everyday tasks and responsibilities —Monitoring to prevent wandering and disorientation —Transportation to doctor appointments Fall Prevention
Our trusting staff is available to help your loved ones navigate the house safely. Caregiving can be a physically demanding job. Simple tasks like showering or walking up and down steps can pose potential safety hazards.
Our fall prevention services include mobility assistance and hazard prevention. Caregivers are trained to find and eliminate potential slip, trip, or fall hazards in the home. They help by providing a steady hand or shoulder to lean on for difficult tasks like climbing, sitting, or moving around the house.
Lack of exercise is common for those who have trouble moving around and are worried about getting injured. Fall prevention includes creating a safe space for your loved one to stay active without fear of getting hurt.
Taking care of another person is more difficult when you have to travel to appointments and offices constantly. With our in-home care services, caregivers will come to your loved one should they need assistance.
Our team can work with you to create a home environment that allows your loved one to thrive, not just survive. The caregivers at JFHC are compassionate, go the extra mile to provide a positive experience, and can help with:
—Bathing —Memory Exercises —Physical Activity —Cooking —Cleaning —Medication Reminders —and more!
In-home care will save you time from traveling around to different vendors and offices looking for help. Our team can provide a wide range of services from the comfort of your loved ones’ safe space.
Live-In Home Care
For those needing increased levels of oversight and assistance, we offer live-in home care. This service includes constant monitoring and engagement with your loved one to make sure they are safe at home.
Live-in care provides many safety benefits. Your loved one will also have the emotional benefit of having someone around throughout the day. The caregiver’s level of interaction and socialization can match your loved ones’ comfortability of live-in care.
This service creates peace of mind for family members with loved ones requiring constant care. Caregivers will help with daily tasks—anything from bathing to preparing meals
Non-Medical Home Care
For many seniors, the aging process simply makes everyday tasks more difficult. At Jewish Family Home Care, we provide an extensive array of non-medical care services.
Our goal is always to provide friendly service that makes life easier. While your loved one might not have medical needs, our caregivers can help in other ways, as well.
We love to help around the house with tasks such as cleaning and putting away laundry, washing dishes, cooking meals, vacuuming, and other general housekeeping
Our caregivers can also help your loved one get ready for the day, put away groceries, cook and more. In an initial consultation, we can talk through some of the services you are interested in and determine if we are able to provide them!
Overnight & 24-Hour Home Care
It can be stressful to worry about a loved one’s safety during the evening hours, the times when you are not around to help in case of an emergency. We have caregivers available to provide vigilant care for your loved one around the clock.
It’s important to take care of yourself, even if you have to take care of someone else. Our caregivers will cover those unpredictable evening hours so you can sleep well and wake up rested. These services include help with daily tasks like dressing, bathing, and getting up in the middle of the night to use the restroom.
If you have a loved one that suffers from Parkinson’s, you know how inconvenient it can make the simplest tasks. Our goal is to help remove some of those frustrations.
The caregivers at our facility know how to work around the symptoms of Parkinson’s and can act as a reliable support system for your loved one. While this disease tries to take away your loved one’s mobility and physical ability to live a normal day to day, we will try to counteract by taking away some of those frustrations.
Our team can help when the shaking worsens and be there as a friendly companion on the good days, too.
Personal Emergency Response
Jewish Family Home Care offers a varied lineup of emergency response products, designed to give peace of mind to those who would be vulnerable in an emergency situation.
The products that we offer along with emergency call response include landline phones, cellular systems, wearable technology (such as safety pendants), and key storage boxes
Our call services also come with an option to have caregivers from JFHC interact directly with your loved one in an emergency situation. We have partnered with Guardian to offer these products and services, ensuring the highest quality response plan possible.
Post-Surgical Home Care
After surgery, your loved one may need help getting back on their feet. We can offer temporary or long-term recovery care following major or minor surgeries.
Caregivers can help your loved one if they have any lifting/bending or basic mobility restrictions that prevent them from jumping right back into their regular routine.
Since surgery can also be exhausting, our team will make sure your loved one keeps up with their post-surgery medications, physical exercise regimen, or dietary requirements. No matter what the needs are, our main goal is making sure that the recovery process goes as smoothly as possible.
Our respite care services ensure that you won’t burn out while you take care of someone else. Just as doctors and nurses need breaks in between shifts, so do the loved ones of those requiring constant care.
The reliable home health aides and certified nursing assistants at Jewish Family Home Care will work hard to create an easy transition between our services and your personal care schedule. With this service, we aim to provide consistency so that you feel confident in our abilities and rest comfortably during your time off without worrying.
We are passionate about what we do, because we want you to feel good about the people you choose to take care of your loved one.
Senior Elderly Care
Our team provides care specifically for elderly patients who want to avoid moving into an assisted living facility. We understand many seniors do not want to lose their independence. Our team approaches elderly care with the intention of only helping where needed.
We can help with many tasks, from transfers to nighttime routines, memory impairment, and daily housekeeping. Each senior experiences the aging process differently, so we adjust our elderly care plans to the specific needs and wishes of your loved one.
We will do everything to help your loved one avoid moving from a familiar environment while working in their home and keeping them safe.
The physical impacts of a stroke vary widely depending on the person and the stroke’s severity. As a result, it’s often difficult to predict all of the complications that happen afterwards.
With specialized stroke care, you can know that the caregiving team is keeping an eye out for any complications that might arise. Because strokes often cause mobility issues, our specialized team members will provide help in working through these frustrations on a daily basis and can even help with physical therapy, if needed.
Returning home after a stroke will provide your loved one with a sense of familiarity, but also new challenges. Having someone else around to help also offers extra emotional support.
